(the antimusic consort) - Feldspar Tryptich

Feldspar Tryptich was made in one night as an exploration of the acoustic phenomena exploited in no-touch psychological operations.

PHASE 1: Fusion of isorhythmic motet and tonal Ars Subtilior, with rhythmic proportions derived from the rhythmic modes of early Notre Dame polyphony. The tonal architecture incorporates hexachords and musica ficta, entwined with dissonance control mechanisms reminiscent of the musica recta tradition. It employs a technique meant to imitate the Pythagorean tuning's epogdoon intervals combined with improvised pop singing.

PHASE 2: The second movement of the tryptych is a technical exhibition of fluid dynamics as applied to granular media, operationalized through MATLAB. Here, the simulation leverages a discrete element method to capture the non-linear behavior of sand particles under simulated aeolian "forces". The model accounts for particle Reynolds number to adjust for low-viscosity interaction, creating Kármán vortex streets in miniature around each grain to accurately depict the formation and evolution of dune structures. These flow patterns are translated into sound waves through a process of sonification, converting the vorticity and pressure fluctuations within the simulation into audible frequencies and rhythms, thus rendering our simulation of fluidized sand into a tangible auditory experience. A paper outlining this technique is currently undergoing peer review.

PHASE 3: The final act of "Feldspar Tryptich" was deemed not fit for public release, aligning with the Zero dB initiative against sonic torture. The auditory patterns developed in this phase were deemed too effective in its triggering of psychological response mechanisms. To comply with ethical standards, this segment was withheld from the commercial release and was exclusively distributed to select government agencies with vested interests in the application of sound for defense purposes.

PHYSICAL RELEASE [15/05/2024]

We have decided to withhold phase 3 from the physical release. We are accepting refunds for the vinyl record for anyone that feels misled.

For additional information regarding the refund of the physical release or any concerns regarding our commitment to Cognitive Security you can email our team at cogsec@aerodynamics.international. Aerodynamics International (as facilitators) does not have access to the original recording of Phase 3 nor any way to obtain it due to the organisational nature of "(the antimusic consort)": The antimusic consort is structured in a manner of continual disbandment and reassembly of various unrelated members. This means that the group that created "Feldspar Tryptich" no longer exists. Therefore, we should not be contacted with inquiries regarding the procurement of this recording. We are unable to fulfill any such request, whether on legal grounds (for which we have already been cleared in many jurisdictions) or monetary grounds (for which any amount of bid will be ignored).
